Kevin Sport and Mark Katsaounis make up the percussion duo Limbs. Using Kevin’s deft touch on the dumbek and Mark’s expert handling of more subtle frame drums as a starting point, Limbs constructs authentic music that evokes cultural source without losing modern edge.
Limbs was unofficially formed in January, 2011, when Kevin reached out to fellow dance accompanist Mark to collaborate on expanding several dumbek solos that he had composed. They have been busy writing and recording original, new music and the band’s debut release Jeton, is now available for download.
